About The Pittsburgh Geological Society
The Pittsburgh Geological Society is a growing non-profit society of professional geologists, student geologists, teachers of geology and earth science, and those interested in geology. At the present time, we number about 300 and our members professional interests span some 30 different specialties of the earth sciences.
Our goal as a society is to stimulate geologic thought, to advance and disseminate geologic knowledge and to provide a forum for professionals and students to discuss and solve geologic problems in the Pittsburgh area and around the world.
